60-day notice of the public hearing shall constitute a public comment period
for purpose of receiving written public comments on the proposed rule and
regulation. All interested parties may

40-3-30. Fire and casualty insurance;
assigned risk plans; forms and procedures.
This is an amendment to an existing regulation that requires insurers to
inform their agents of the assigned risk plans available to
There will be minimal economic impact on
insurance companies, the Kansas Insurance Department, and other governmental
agencies. There may be a positive
impact on consumers because they should be notified of these assigned risk
plans earlier in the insurance purchasing process.
There
should not be an impact on small businesses.
As stated above, if a small business has to purchase its insurance from
an assigned risk plan, the business should find out about their availability
sooner.
